I write in vain tonight, a single page of music
One of the many thousand in my mind that the world will never read.
The dark masquerade which I have learned to regard with silent contempt
Has severed my hand and erased from the song all but little meaning.

In vain? In hope, rather, that one will come unmasked and teach me to do the same.
The gray fog is all I’ve known—suffocating and held by force to my scarred face.
It lifted once with a kiss, and I know if you were here you’d set me free.

Fullview please!

My very first painting done on a massive canvas. I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out, considering I didn't think I could paint at all. (I painted a dinosaur when I was a kid, didn't like it, and pretty much gave up painting entirely. XD It was for a class project; the whole idea was to paint something to go in the dorms. If it's hung up by Saturday, I swear I'm going to snatch it and run.

To me, it (very) basically represents the promise of hope. Even when everything looks grey and foggy...God is there, and he'll pull you through.

Whoa my goodness... I'm speechless! I sure as heck hope that you know how incredible you are! I mean, I gave up on painting in sixth grade... And even though you thought you weren't any good way back when, you pull through now and create a masterpiece! MAN you're an inspiration! Do I have any paints anywhere?!
